Salary of an IAS

IAS Salary I have mentioned the topic of IAS salary in India in detail and also the salary structure/pay scale of IAS officers according to the 7th Pay Commission recommendation. With that said let me get straight to the point. The basic monthly IAS salary in India starts from Rs. 56,100 (excluding DA, TA, and HRA). This value can go on to reach a monthly salary of Rs, 2,50,000, which is the salary of the post of Cabinet Secretary of India. In India excluding the various allowances that the government offers to IAS officers like House rent Allowances, Dearness Allowances, Travel Allowances, Medical, etc. I have not mentioned the allowances here because the government does not specifically give out details about what allowances are allocated for the various pay grades. This is also due to the reason that Allowances that IAS officers receive from the govt. differ according to the city of posting, and various other factors. I think that’s all you need to know about the salary of...

Tips on Solving UPSC Mock Tests

I have mentioned some very effective tips and tricks that you can keep in mind while solving your UPSC mock test papers:    Take your Prelims to mock papers sincerely, giving 2 hours each for the GS and CSAT papers. And also, while taking your mock mains papers, take the papers using the official time duration of 3 hours for each.    While solving the UPSC mocks make sure to solve your papers with a calm mind. The objective shouldn’t be just to solve it in the given time. You should make sure that your answers are right, and also of good quality (in the case of the mains papers). Therefore, 15 minutes here and there above the given time limit can be considered okay, but remember to not take any more time than that.    Once you are done with a mock, do not consider your job done yet, you’d now have to analyze the questions in the mock thoroughly and also the answers you have written for each. That way you’ll be ab...
